Non-conformity with a dash of transgression

Day 3: I wondered for a moment today which is more exciting – things one “should” like and doesn’t, or things one “shouldn’t” like, but in fact (secretly or otherwise) desperately enjoys? Then I realized what a silly question that is. The latter, of course! Non-conformity is always more intriguing with a dash of transgression.

More on this to come, especially with respect to carving out one’s life’s work. It’s time for me to get ready for (not my life’s) work tomorrow. And with respect to that, I’ll return to Heather Mallick, who cites Charlie Brooker and bemoans the unlikelihood of ever coming up with a phrase this clever: “I’d rather eat a big bowl of gravel and hair.”

(I’m actually very excited to see my co-workers again. As trying as it is to go back to work after a good, long holiday, I’m lucky enough to work with some amazing people.)
